Corrugated Sustainability Practices & Certifications
At Akers Packaging Service Group, sustainability starts with the material at the heart of what we do – corrugated packaging.
Corrugated is a renewably sourced, responsibly manufactured material made from certified fiber sourcing programs. It’s durable, reusable, and recyclable, giving it a longer product lifecycle and helping keep unnecessary waste out of landfills. In fact, corrugated is the most recycled packaging material in the world.
We go a step further by manufacturing our own corrugated sheets and boxes. This reduces additional shipping and processing steps before materials are recycled and recovered — lowering emissions and improving efficiency across the supply chain.
Sustainable by Design
Our sustainability efforts extend beyond materials. We work closely with customers to design packaging solutions that reduce waste at every stage:
- Custom-fit designs that protect products better while using fewer raw materials.
- Optimized load distribution for safer, more efficient shipping.
- Reduced packaging volume to lower manufacturing, shipping, and inventory costs.
These smarter packaging solutions mean less environmental impact — and more cost savings for your business.
